If you embark on a trip (especially if it's a vacation) and you don't hit the party scene at least once(even if said destination's idea of a party is forming a ring around a fire in the evening and singing native songs), please be informed that your cultural experience is incomplete.
While sightseeing and trying out new dishes are great ways to experience a city, exploring the nightlife offers a whole new insight to a destination.
Ofcourse if you happen to be a party lover, we do not need to emphasise the many small truths that can be learned about a people from their partying style.
That said, here are the cities that throw the best parties in the world.
1. London, England: This goes without saying. Unarguably one of the most popular cities in the world, London offers an interesting mix where nightlife is concerned including upscale clubs and pubs with hundreds of years of history behind them.
2. Berlin, Germany: With an abundance of some of the best beer in the world, you can be sure of having an incredible night out while in Berlin.
3. Rio de Janeiro, Brazil: No surprises here. Brazil is arguably one of the world's travel capitals - carnivals anyone? So it makes sense that Rio lands a spot on this list.
4. New Orleans, Louisiana: The Creole/French influence and rich musical history (New Orleans is regarded as the birthplace of Jazz music) lends a bohemian edge to this city and also makes it the perfect place to run into some of the hottest parties around.
5. Barcelona, Spain: Head on to this Spanish city if you're looking for a mix of a little bit of everything.
6. St Petersburg, Russia: This is regarded as Russia's liberal and cultural hub so it's no surprise that the city boats an interesting nightlife.
7. Las Vegas, Nevada: Doesn't the mere mention of Las Vegas conjure images of never-ending parties, casinos and sexy show girls? Need we say more?

8. Beirut, Lebanon: If you like to explore new places - regularly, then this is the place to be as there are constantly new clubs, bars and restaurants popping up.

12. Tel Aviv, Israel: For a city that is home to the "Best bar in Africa and the Middle East" - (The Imperial Craft Cocktail Bar) at the World’s 50 Best Bar Awards last year, you can expect a most interesting night life from this Middle Eastern country.
13. Bangkok, Thailand: Anyone who saw 'The Hangover' will agree that this city definitely has a lot to offer tourists, including a swell albeit adventurous nightlife.
14. Belgrade, Serbia: Telegraph describes this place as as "the hottest party spot on the Danube". 'Nuff said.

15. Amsterdam, Netherlands: The city famed for it's Red Light District (an area where there is a concentration of brothels, strip joints and other sex related activities), expect and interesting and adventurous time here.
16. Lagos, Nigeria: Nigerian artiste, Banky W famously sang 'Aint no party like a Lagos party' and he couldn't be more correct. Here the tempo in clubs don't slow down till the break of dawn and there's always a reason to throw a party.
